Dean JOnes Scholarship
The Dean Lewis N. Jones Scholarship is a one-time award of $1500 given each Fall and Spring
semester. The amount was increased from $500 to $1000 in Spring 2019 by generous alumni
gathered for Beta Sigma's 80th Anniversary Celebration and again in Spring 2023. The Scholarship
may only be won one time per student. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color,
ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation and administered by the Texas Tech Alumni Association.​
The current application deadline is November 15, 2023

Criteria

Must be an active member in good standing of the Beta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega

Must not be a graduating senior
-
Must be a full time student, currently enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours or more

Must be returning to Texas Tech University next semester as an undergraduate student

​Must not have been previously been awarded this same scholarship

Does NOT require a Letter of Recommendation
